About the Autumn Art Lectures

Bristol University has been running its annual Autumn Art lecture series since 1905. It's a fantastic treat to stroll along after work on an autumn evening and bask in their fascinating lecture programme each year.

So, of course, it was an honour to be invited to provide the artwork for the 2010 lecture series on colour in art, including a fascinating lecture entitled Chromophobia: ten years on given by David Batchelor.

Amongst this year's highlights was a phenomenal talk on Louise Bourgeois entitled Men are monsters!: Feminism, Gothic and the story of Louise Bourgeois, given by Dr Gilda Williams from Goldsmiths. You can listen to the lecture, and many others, on Soundcloud here.

If you'd like to subscribe to the University's lecture programme, you can find it online here. I’d recommend it!
