Returns Policy

What is your returns policy?

I'm really keen to ensure that my artworks find homes where they are welcome, and hopefully even loved.

As such, I want to make sure that if the artwork doesn't suit your home for any reason at all, and that decision is completely at your discretion, you can, of course, return it for a full 100% refund.

With that in mind, Chuck Elliott Studio offers a 90 day returns period, for works bought directly from the studio here, or online from this website.

I'm offering 90 days because I think it's important to have a chance to live with an artwork for a little while, to see if it's right for your home.

Other dealers may well have their own terms and conditions, so please do check with them about their returns policy, if you intend to purchase from a local gallery.

In order to ensure that you receive a full 100% refund, you'll need to return the work in good condition. When it arrives back at Chuck Elliott Studio, we'll then make a full refund, using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Organising the return delivery

If you'd like some help with organising a return delivery back to us, please do get in touch by phone on 07753 603 469 or email studio@chuckelliott.com and we'll be happy to help work out the easiest way to return the work.

We use a number of great couriers, who should be able to facilitate something that will work well, at an agreed date and time that suits you.

There are only two caveats I would mention

One is that we do ask you, the buyer, to cover the cost of the return delivery. In that way, effectively, we will pay for the initial delivery to you, and you will pay for the return to us. So it's a 50 / 50 split on the total cost of delivery fees. I hope that seems fair!

Two is that if a piece has been designed or commissioned to specifically fit your particular space, perhaps by varying the size or colours, framing specification, etc, it may not be possible to offer a full refund.

Essentially this will hinge on whether I think the work could be resold to a new customer, or whether it's so unique it really has been made just for you. In this case I would still offer a substantial refund, which would be the sale price less the actual cost of the material production of the work, which is often around 25% of the RRP. I'd also be happy to offer you an unframed work on paper, by way of compensation, to set against the loss of the production costs.

Damaged work

Please note we will accept returns, and offer a full 100% refund, for any artwork that arrives damaged at your delivery address.

Returning work in person

If you are local, or would like to visit, you can of course return the work in person, and you'd be welcome to stop for a coffee and a studio visit at the same time if that appeals! You might even be able to find something else to try out while you’re here...

It's personal, and that matters

If you're unsure about anything, please do get in touch. Buying a piece of art is always a personal experience, and it's really important that you source a piece that is right for your home.

I'm keen to ensure that is exactly what happens, so please do get in touch if you'd like to discuss options, timings, prices and or anything else.

It's always a pleasure to talk about art, and I remain committed to offering the best work I can, produced to a high standard, ready to install, and carefully delivered.

That's what we're hoping to achieve!
