Lyric SV is available in two variations: cerulean wave and tangerine dream and as a pair of pigment prints.
About Lyric SV
Lyric SV is a systematic variation of the original Lyric geometry, using a new process led idea to create a new more liquid treatment, that breaks up the linework with a far more painterly style of abstraction, hopefully without losing too much of the original rhythm that flows through the piece.
The blue edition takes its palette from Hokusai’s wave, of course, whilst the orange piece is altogether wilder and more subconscious.
There’s an inevitable reference to the amazing electronic music of Tangerine Dream too, of course, synthesised music that seems as extraordinary today as it did when I first stumbled across it back in the eighties.
I love the idea of using the digital systems to remix and reinvent pieces, in much the same way that a contemporary musician might remix a track for a particular band.
It’s an idea that I’m going to explore further over the coming years…

Lyric SV / cerulean wave is a metallic Lambda photographic print, optionally mounted to Plexiglass and Dibond, and fitted with a hidden subframe, ready to install.
Work can be supplied unmounted and ready to frame if you’d prefer.
The work is individually signed and numbered verso, with both a unique catalogue raisonné number and the edition number for guaranteed authenticity.
