About Elemental / white crest

Elemental / white crest has been one of the most popular editions I've ever drawn. Available in two sizes, this larger edition of just 4 pieces is 1.4m high by 2.4m wide. Designed to fill a room with light and colour, there's a dynamism to the study that suited this new build home in Poole beautifully. something about the proximity to the sea, and the fresh sea air that seemed to me to fit together really well, on the day I was there helping to install it.

The piece was commissioned by local gallerist and curator Nick Waugh, View Gallery, who has been a strong advocate for, and supporter of, the studio for well over a decade. In fact I showed work at his gallery’s inaugural show, when the gallery was located in Hotwells, here in Bristol, alongside Harriet White, and Patricia Volk, who remains a friend and fellow colour enthusiast.
