About Collider / gilded mandala

Originally conceived as a kind of electro mandala, a meditation on the Fibonacci numbers really, and the way they relate to the world around us, Collider / gilded mandala nevertheless seems to be able to inhabit this extraordinary London dining room without too much difficulty.

Intriguing to wonder if the context changes the work, or if the work has changed the context, perhaps neither or both, I'm not sure!

I like the idea that art may ultimately exist in the space between the viewer and the work, in that meditative space created when a work is displayed, and the thoughts or feelings it may provoke when it's encountered in a particular setting. Context is everything, to some degree!
