Flow / diptych at Greater London House

Greater London House is one of the more iconic buildings in North London, situated directly opposite Mornington Crescent tube station.

Containing offices for ASOS, the British Heart Foundation, Wunderman Thompson, WPP, Revlon Radley + Co, the building also featured in the BBC comedy television series W1A as the offices of Fun Media.

Originally constructed as the Carreras cigarette factory in 1928, this art deco office building had gradually fallen into decline until Resolution embarked upon its extensive programme of refurbishment and renovation.

A programme of works which presented an amazing opportunity to create a large pair of Flow pieces, one light and one dark, a kind of yin yang diptych, to oppose each other on either side of the new entrance.

At 2.4m wide each, they needed specialist manufacturing, so I commissioned the production work from Grieger in Düsseldorf, who make much of the large scale fine art photography you'll see in contemporary galleries throughout Europe. Grieger organised production, delivery and installation of the two works, completely seamlessly, it was an education to work with them.

You can view the works if you're passing, as they're ahead of the security barriers in the front of house circulation space... link here for the google maps location
