About the commission

It was always going to be difficult to compete with the breathtaking views of the Thames from this spectacular Millbank apartment in London.

After much discussion with the owners, and a good deal of insight from their great interior designer, we chose to install a 2m Flow / RMX / panton piece in the study, a 160cm wide Flow / silvered edition in the bedroom, a 120cm diameter Rubicon piece over the bath, and an 88cm square Halcyon / silver solar work, also in the bathroom.

The owners have also collected a number of Experimental Print Club pieces, which have been beautifully framed by Mark Darbyshire's company, a highly recommended contemporary framer based in Clerkenwell, with workshops near here in Gloucester. They framed a set of 9 Millefiori ‘partial component’ prints for the entrance hall, in a beautiful spray finished set of white tulipwood frames, with split batons, allowing for near perfect alignment in a 3x3 grid on the wall.
